St Hywyn’s, Aberdaron celebrates 1,500 years of Christianity
St Hywyn’s, Aberdaron like many of the churches on the Llyn Peninsula at the tip of North Wales, was established by Sixth Century Saints. In the Middle Ages, three trips to Bardsey Island (Ynys Enlli), were the equivalent to one trip to Rome. Thousands of pilgrims made the pilgrimage, stopping in many of the en-route churches overnight.
FPL is proud of it’s long-standing association with a number of Llyn churches including St Hywyn’s, Aberdaron, St Maelrhys, Llanfaeryhs and St Pedroc’s, Llanbedrog.
